水仙（すいせん）Narcissus

　水仙すいせんは、春はるのはじめに花はなをさかせるヒガンバナ科かの植物しょくぶつです。

　水仙すいせんは、球きゅう根こんで育そだつ多た年生ねんせいの植物しょくぶつです。

　水仙すいせんには、とてもたくさんの品種ひんしゅがあります。ラッパスイセンやニホンスイセンなど、色いろや形かたちの異ことなる種類しゅるいがありますが、これらの花はなはすべて、水仙すいせんと呼よばれています。

　水仙すいせんは、白しろと黄色きいろの花はなが有名ゆうめいですが、ピンクや緑みどり、オレンジなど、さまざまな色いろの花はながあります。

　水仙すいせんの名な前まえは、中国語ちゅうごくごの「水仙スイチョン」をそのまま借かりて、音読おんよみしたものです。

　中国ちゅうごくには、「仙人せんにんは、天てんにあるを天仙てんせん、地ちにあるを地仙ちせん、水みずにあるを水仙すいせん」という言葉ことばがあります。

　仙人せんにんというのは、日常生活にちじょうせいかつから離はなれた山やまの奥おくに住すみ、老おいることも死しぬこともない「不ふ老ろう不ふ死しの術じゅつ」と神通力じんつうりきをもつ人ひとのことをいいます。

　水仙すいせんは、水辺みずべに育そだち、仙人せんにんのように長ながく生いき、清きよらかであることから、この名な前まえになったといわれています。

　水仙すいせんには、毒どくがあります。水仙すいせんの葉はを、野や菜さいのニラと間ま違ちがえて食たべてしまうことがあります。間ま違ちがえて食たべると、嘔吐おうと、下痢げり、胃腸炎いちょうえん、頭痛ずつうなどの症状しょうじょうが出でてしまうことがあります。

Narcissus　

　Narcissus is a member of the amaryllidaceae family that blooms in early spring.

　Narcissus is a perennial plant that grow from bulb.

　There are many varieties of narcissuses. There are varieties with different colors and shapes, such as trumpet narcissus and Japanese narcissus, all of which are called narcissus.

　Narcissuses are famous for their white and yellow flowers, but they also come in a variety of colors, including pink, green, and orange.

　The name “narcissus” is borrowed directly from the Chinese word “suichen,” which is read phonetically. In China, there is a saying, “A hermit is a heavenly hermit if he is in heaven, an earthly hermit if he is on earth, and a water hermit if he is in water.

　A hermit is a person who lives deep in the mountains, far from daily life, and possesses “the art of immortality” and divine powers that allow him to neither age nor die.

　Narcissus is said to have gotten its name from the fact that it grows near water, lives a long life like a hermit, and is pure.

　Narcissus does contain poison. Daffodil leaves are sometimes mistakenly eaten with chives, a vegetable. Eating the wrong one can cause vomiting, diarrhea, gastroenteritis, headaches, and other symptoms.
