たんぽぽは、きれいな花ですよね。
たんぽぽは、キク科の 草花です。
おもに ３月から ４月に かけて、黄色い花をさかせる 野草です。
白い わた毛を ふいて とばすのが すきな 子どもが たくさんいます。
日本で よく見ることの できる たんぽぽは、２種類あります。
ニホンタンポポと セイヨウタンポポです。
その名の とおり 、ニホンタンポポは 日本に 古くから ある たんぽぽで、セイヨウタンポポは、ヨーロッパから 日本に やってきた たんぽぽです。
この２つの たんぽぽを 見分けるのは、花の下の みどり色の ところを 見ると、かんたんに できます。
花の 下の みどり色の ところを、総苞片と いいます。
ここが「そりかえっていない」ものは、ニホンタンポポです。
ここが「そりかえっている」ものは、セイヨウタンポポです。
ニホンタンポポには、いくつかの 仲間があります。カントウタンポポ、エゾタンポポ、シロバナタンポポなどです。これらは みんな、総苞片が そりかえって いません。
外国から 来た セイヨウタンポポは、今では 日本の いろいろな ところに ひろがっています。日本の たんぽぽの 100本に 80本くらいが、セイヨウタンポポです。
ニホンタンポポは、春に 花を さかせますが、セイヨウパンポポは、一年中 さかせることができます。

The dandelion came from abroad, but has now spread to many parts of Japan. It is said that about 80% of the dandelions in Japan are dandelions.
The Japanese dandelion blooms mainly in the spring, but the dandelion can bloom all year long.
