地球（ちきゅう）The Earth

　今いまからおよそ50ごじゅう億年前おくねんまえまで、今いまの太陽たいようもまわりの惑星わくせいも、何なにもありませんでした。

　そのころは、ガス星雲せいうんといううすい水素すいそがあるだけでした。そのような何なにもないところに、大おおきなガスのうずまきが現あらわれました。その水素すいそのガスでできた雲くものようなものが、ゆっくりちぢみ始はじめました。

　このガスでできた雲くものようなものが、ちぢみ始はじめると、今こん度どは回転かいてんを始はじめました。

　回転かいてんを始はじめると、中心ちゅうしんができてきました。その中心ちゅうしん部ぶ分ぶんが、大昔おおむかしの太陽たいようです。

　そして、その太陽たいようのまわりには、大おおきな円盤えんばんのような形かたちのガスのかたまりができ始はじめました。

　このガスのかたまりは温おん度どが下さがると、ガスの中なかから小ちいさなちりのようなものを作つくり出だしていきました。

　このちりはいくつもいくつも集あつまって、微び惑星わくせいと呼よばれる小ちいさな星ほしを作つくり出だしました。

　微び惑星わくせいは、内側うちがわに岩石がんせきや金属きんぞくなどのかたまりを含ふくむようになり、外側そとがわは氷こおりなどで包つつまれていました。

　これらの微び惑星わくせいは、数かぞえきれないくらいたくさんあって、何回なんかいも何回なんかいもお互たがいにぶつかりあっては、こわれたりくっついたりをくり返かえしました。

　その後あと、これらの微び惑星わくせいは、だんだんと大おおきくなっていき、惑星わくせいとなりました。

　こうしてできた惑星わくせいのひとつが地ち球きゅうです。地ち球きゅうは大昔おおむかしに宇う宙ちゅうにあったガスからできたものです。　

　地ち球きゅうができたのは、今いまからおよそ46よんじゅうろく億年前おくねんまえだと考かんがえられています。

The Earth

　Until about 5 billion years ago, there was nothing around the Sun or the planets.

　At that time, there was only the gas nebula, a thin cloud of hydrogen. Then, out of this nothingness, a great swirl of gas appeared. This cloud-like cloud of hydrogen gas began to slowly contract.

　As this gas cloud began to contract, it began to rotate.

　As it began to rotate, it formed a center. That center is the ancient sun. Around the sun, a large disk-shaped mass of gas began to form.
　As the temperature of this mass of gas dropped, it began to produce small dust-like particles from the gas.

　These dust particles gathered and formed small stars called microplanets.

　These microplanets contained clumps of rocks and metals on the inside and were surrounded by ice on the outside.

　These microplanets, too numerous to count, repeatedly collided with each other, breaking up and sticking together again and again.
　Later, these microplanets gradually grew larger and larger and became planets. One of these planets is the Earth. The earth was formed from gas that existed in space long ago.　

　It is thought that the Earth was formed about 4.6 billion years ago.
