桜（さくら）cherry

　桜さくらは、日に本ほんで最もっとも愛あいされている植物しょくぶつのひとつです。多おおくの学校がっこうには桜さくらの木きがたくさん植うえられています。

　春はるになると、多おおくの人ひとが、公園こうえんや桜さくらの名所めいしょなどに桜さくらを見みに出でかけます。

　桜さくらを見みながら、家か族ぞくや友ともだちと一緒いっしょに食しょく事じを楽たのしむ人ひともいます。

　ここ数年すうねんは、コロナウィルス感染症かんせんしょうのために、桜さくらを見みながらの宴会えんかいは禁きん止しされていましたが、今こ年とし2023年ねん（令れい和わ5ご年ねん）から禁きん止しされなくなっているところも増ふえています。

　春はるの３月さんがつ中旬ちゅうじゅんになると、多おおくの都と道どう府ふ県けんで桜さくらの開かい花か宣言せんげんが始はじまります。

　桜さくらの開かい花か宣言せんげんというのは、日に本ほんの各かく地ちにある気き象しょう台だいや測候所そっこうじょなどが定さだめた標ひょう本木ほんぼくの花はなが5ご、6輪開ろくりんひらくと発表はっぴょうされます。標ひょう本木ほんぼくは、ソメイヨシノという種類しゅるいから選えらばれています。

　桜さくらが80パーセント開かい花かすると桜さくらの見み頃ごろである満開まんかいとなります。通常つうじょう、開かい花か宣言せんげんから満開まんかいまではおよそ1週間いっしゅうかんとなっています。

　世せ界かいではあまり行おこなわれない桜さくらの開かい花か状況じょきょうのニュースは、桜さくらに対たいする日に本ほん人じんの思おもいの強つよさを表あらわしています。桜さくらを題材だいざいにした歌うたもたくさん作つくられて歌うたわれています。

Cherry  

　Cherry trees are one of the most beloved plants in Japan. Many schools have many cherry trees.

　In spring, many people go to parks and cherry blossom viewing spots.

　Some people enjoy eating with family and friends while viewing the cherry blossoms.

　In the past few years, banquets to view cherry blossoms were prohibited due to coronavirus infection, but the ban has been lifted in an increasing number of places since 2023.

　In mid-March, many prefectures begin to declare the blooming of cherry blossoms.

　Cherry blossom declarations are made when five or six blossoms open on a sample tree designated by a weather station or meteorological observatory in each region of Japan. The specimen trees are selected from a species of cherry tree called Someiyoshino.

　When 80% of the cherry trees are in bloom, the cherry trees are in full bloom, which is the best time to see the cherry blossoms. Usually, it takes about one week from the time the cherry trees are declared in bloom to the time they are in full bloom.

　The news of the blooming of cherry blossoms, which is not often done in other parts of the world, shows the strength of the Japanese people’s love for cherry blossoms.　Many songs about cherry blossoms have been composed and sung.
