みなさんは、友ともだちと相撲すもうをしたことはありますか。

相撲すもうのルールは、簡単かんたんです。

Sumo

Have you played sumo with your friends?

The rules are simple.

You begin by drawing a circle on the ground and saying “hakkeiyoi” of the umpire.

You lose if you are taken out of the circle or if your hand or body touches the ground. It is a very simple rule.

Sumo is Japanese play and is sports.

Do you know the difference between “Sumo” and “Grand Sumo”?

Sumo is a game in which you win if you throw your opponent and put any part of your opponent’s body on the ground except the soles of your opponent’s feet, or if you take your opponent out of the circle.

It is a game and sport that anyone can easily play.

Sumo is held six times a year by the Japan Sumo Association.

At the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, the January basho (first basho), May basho (summer basho), and September basho (autumn basho) can be held.

Other basho are held in Osaka, Aichi, and Fukuoka, and are called the March (Spring), July (Nagoya), and November (Kyushu) basho, respectively. The September tournament is in full swing at the moment.

Rikishi or sekitori, as they are called, compete in a 15-day match.

Rikishi are divided into six groups according to their strength.

Starting with the strongest group, they are called makuuchi, juryo, makushita, sandanme, jyo-nidan, and ogenokuchi. Sekitori are basically only those in the makuuchi and juryo groups.
