黄葉と紅葉（こうようとこうよう）Yellow Leaves and Autumn Leaves

　山やまの景け色しきがきれいな季き節せつになりました。

　秋あきに山やまの景け色しきがきれいなのは、木きの中なかに葉はの色いろが変かわるものがあるからです。

　葉はの色いろが変かわった後あと、しばらくすると木きは葉はを落おとします。

　葉はが落おちる前まえに、木きは、葉はから養分ようぶんとして使つかえるものを回収かいしゅうしようとします。

　この時ときに分解ぶんかいして回収かいしゅうされるのが、光合成こうごうせいを行おこなう「葉緑素ようりょくそ」です。

　葉緑素ようりょくそは、植物しょくぶつにとって貴重きちょうな成分せいぶんを多おおく含ふくんでいる緑色みどりいろのものです。

　秋あきになると、木き々ぎは、まず最初さいしょに緑色みどりいろの葉緑素ようりょくそを分解ぶんかいします。

　その時ときに、緑色みどりいろがなくなって、黄き色いろが残るので、葉はが緑色みどりいろから黄き色いろになります。

　葉はが黄き色いろくなる木きに、いちょうやポプラなどがあります。

　葉はが黄き色いろくなることを黄葉こうようといいます。

　木きの葉はが赤あかくなる木きには、もみじやななかまどなどがあります。

　葉はが赤あかくなることを紅葉こうようといいます。

　黄葉こうようと紅葉こうようは、どちらも、日に本ほん語ごでは、「こうよう」といいます。
