大地震（だいじしん）big earthquakes

　日に本ほんは、世せ界かいでも地じ震しんが多おおいことで有名ゆうめいです。

　1995年ねん（平成へいせい7年ななねん）1月いちがつ17じゅうなな日にちに阪神はんしん・淡あわ路じ大震災だいしんさいとよばれる大だい地じ震しんが起おこりました。地じ震しんが起おこったのは、朝あさの5時ごじ46分ぷん52秒びょうでした。兵庫県ひょうごけんの淡あわ路じ島北しまほく部ぶ沖おきの明あか石し海峡かいきょうが震源しんげん地ちでした。

　兵庫県ひょうごけんの市町村しちょうそんや大阪おおさか府ふの一部いちぶの市町村しちょうそんなどは、大おおきな揺ゆれにおそわれました。

　その結果けっか、震源しんげん地ちに近ちかい神こう戸市べしの周辺しゅうへんなどは、とても大おおきな被ひ害がいがありました。

　この地じ震しんでは、6434人にんもの人ひとが亡なくなってしまいました。

　亡なくなった人ひとの中なかには、住すんでいた木造もくぞうの家いえがたおれ、その下した敷じきになって、体からだが強つよく押おされて亡なくなったり、息いきができなくなって亡なくなったりした人ひとがたくさんいました。

　家いえがこわれたために電でん気き設せつ備びから火事かじになって焼やけ死しんだ人ひともたくさんいます。

　生いき残のこった人ひとも、家いえがこわれたために住すめなくなった人ひとも多おおく、長ながい間あいだ、仮か設せつの家いえに住すんでいる人ひともたくさんいました。

　このような地じ震しんの被ひ害がいで人ひとが亡なくなった場ば合あい、残のこされた人ひとの悲かなしみが深ふかいのは、昨日きのうまで元気げんきに会話かいわをしていた人ひとが急きゅうにいなくなることです。残のこされた人ひとは、長ながい間あいだ悲かなしみに包つつまれることになります。

　毎年まいとし1月いちがつ17日には、神こう戸市べし中央区ちゅうおうくの東ひがし遊園ゆうえん地ちで、死者ししゃを弔ともらう「阪神はんしん・淡あわ路じ大震災だいしんさい1.17のつどい」という催もよおしが開催かいさいされます。

big earthquakes

　Japan is famous for having many earthquakes in the world.

　Twenty-eight years ago, on January 17, 1995, a major earthquake called the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake occurred. The earthquake occurred at 5:46:52 in the morning. The epicenter was the Akashi Strait off the northern coast of Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture.

　Municipalities in Hyogo Prefecture and some municipalities in Osaka Prefecture were hit by large tremors.

　As a result, areas such as Kobe City, which is close to the epicenter, suffered great damage.

　6434 people died in this earthquake.

　Among the people who died, the wooden houses they lived in collapsed, and there were many who died because their bodies were pushed hard or because they could not breathe.

　Many people have burned to death in electrical equipment fires because their homes were destroyed.

　Many of those who survived were unable to live because their homes were destroyed, and many had been living in temporary housing for a long time.

　When someone dies in an earthquake like this, the sadness of those left behind is the sudden disappearance of the person with whom they had a lively conversation until yesterday. Those left behind will be filled with sorrow for a long time.

　Today, January 17, 2023, an event called “The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake 1.17 Gathering” will be held at Higashi Yuenchi Park in Chuo Ward, Kobe City to mourn for the dead.
