世界大会の問題（ワールドカップのもんだい）The World Cup Matters

　FIFAフィファワールドカップは、4年よねんに1回いっかい行おこなわれるサッカーの世界せかい大会たいかいです。

　2022年ねん11月がつ20日はつかから第だい22回大会たいかいが、カタールで行おこなわれます。

　カタールでの大会たいかいに問題もんだいがあると考かんがえている人々ひとびとがいます。

　それは、人権問題じんけんもんだいです。

　人権じんけんとは、人ひとに与あたえられた正当せいとうな権利けんりのことです。

　ワールドカップ大会たいかいをするために、新あたらしく7ななつの大おおきな競技場きょうぎじょうがつくられました。

　でも、カタールは小ちいさな国くになので、競技場きょうぎじょうをつくるために、たくさんの外国人がいこくじんの労働者ろうどうしゃを雇やといました。

　その労働者ろうどうしゃの人権じんけんがきちんと守まもられていないと考かんがえている人ひとがいます。

　正式せいしきな賃金ちんぎんよりも少すくない金額きんがくで働はたらかせたり、長ながい時間じかん働はたらかせたりしている問題もんだいがあると言いわれています。

　出場国しゅつじょうこくの中なかの一部いちぶの選手せんしゅは、平和的へいわてきな抗議こうぎ行動こうどうを計画けいかくしています。

　イングランドなどのヨーロッパのチームの主将しゅしょう9人きゅうにんは、人権問題じんけんもんだいへの抗議こうぎをするために、「Oneワン Loveラブ（1ひとつの愛あい）」の文字もじをつけた腕章わんしょうをつけるそうです。

The World Cup Matters

The FIFA World Cup is a quadrennial world soccer tournament.

The 22nd edition of the tournament will be held in Qatar starting November 20, 2022.

Some people think there is a problem with the tournament in Qatar.

It is a human rights issue.

Human rights are the legitimate rights of people.

There are seven new large stadiums that have been built to host the World Cup.

But Qatar is a small country, so they hired a lot of foreign workers to build the stadiums.

Some people believe that the human rights of these workers are not being properly protected.

It is said that there is a problem of making them work for less than the official wages and for longer hours.

Some players from some of the competing countries are planning peaceful protests.

The nine captains of European teams, including England, will wear armbands with the words “One Love” on them to protest human rights issues. They are going to wear them.
