チューリップ　Tulips

　春はるになると、チューリップの花はなが咲さきます。

　赤色あかいろ、白色しろいろ、黄き色いろ、いろいろな色いろの花はなが咲さき、とてもきれいです。

　チューリップの花はなが好すきな人ひとも多おおいと思おもいます。

　多おおくの草花くさばなは、種たねをまいて育そだてることが多おおいのですが、チューリップは、球きゅう根こんから育そだてることが普通です。

　では、なぜチューリップは、球きゅう根こんから育そだてるのでしょうか。

　それには、２ふたつの理り由ゆうがあります。

　１つは、チューリップを種から育そだてて花はなを咲さかせようとすると、数年すうねんかかるからです。

　でも、球きゅう根こんを植うえて育そだてると、4し、5ごか月げつで花はなを咲さかせることができます。

　もう１ひとつの理り由ゆうは、種たねからチューリップを育そだてると、もともと咲さいていたチューリップと同おなじ色いろの花はなが咲さくとは限かぎらないからです。

　きれいな色いろの花はなが咲さいたので、同おなじ色いろの花はなを咲さかせようと、種たねから育そだてることにします。でも、せっかく花はなが咲さいたのに、思おもっていたのとは違ちがう花はなが咲さくと、とても悲かなしくなります。

　でも、球きゅう根こんから育そだてると、同おなじ色いろの花はなを咲さかせることができます。

　このような２ふたつの理り由ゆうで、チューリップは、種たねからでなく、球きゅう根こんから育そだてることになりました。

Tulips

　In spring, tulips bloom.

　Red, white, yellow, and many other colors bloom, and they are very beautiful.

　Many people like tulips.

　Many flowers and plants are grown from seeds, but tulips are usually grown from bulbs.

　Why are tulips grown from bulbs?

　There are two reasons.

　One is that it takes several years to grow tulips from seeds and make them bloom.

　But if you plant a bulb and grow it, you can have a flower in four or five months.

　Another reason is that when you grow tulips from seeds, they do not always bloom in the same color as the tulips that originally bloomed.

　You have a beautifully colored flower, so you decide to grow it from a seed in order to have a flower of the same color. However, when a flower blooms but it is not what you expected, you will be very sad.

　But if you grow them from bulbs, you can get flowers of the same color.

　For these two reasons, tulips are grown from bulbs, not from seeds.
